This lab didn’t involve much concrete data, as the whole experience lies in creating a single end result, the quality of which isn’t easily measurable. Most of the data we did collect involved how long it took to undertake various processes:
Cutting:
13 minutes to cut two 4ft posts (4 cuts total) with one saw
4 minutes to finish the last two posts (4 more cuts) using two saws
15 minutes to cut 4 3ft sections from one log (5 cuts)
Total: 32 minutes to make 13 cuts
Splitting:
5 minutes to split 1 3ft log
Digging:
9 minutes to move two large sections of turf
41 minutes to dig trenches and post holes

Starting from the bottom left and going clockwise:
Diameter: 14in. Depth: 13in
Diameter: 11in. Depth: 12in
Diameter: 11in. Depth: 12.5in
Diameter: 13in. Depth: 12in
While our group did spend much of the last part of lab using the sawhorses and carving knives, at this point in lab, we were nearing completion, and the group work delineation was less clear, so I don’t have specific data for this section apart from the fact that in total, it took our class ~2.5 hours to get from nothing to the point where all the posts and beams were in place. From there, it took about 15 minutes to get the roof pegged into place.
